Friends of Lanpher Memorial Library (FLML) was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2015.

Mission

To promote the understanding and appreciation of Lanpher Memorial Library and its mission by supporting the freedom to read and placing books in more hands. Through volunteerism, advocacy, increasing public awareness, fundraising and creating partnerships, the Friends of Lanpher Memorial Library seek to enhance the Library’s role in the Hyde Park community.

What Friends Do

• Sponsor Tuesday Talks
• Subsidize Park / Museum passes
• Purchase Library materials
• Meet specific Library requests:
  • Children’s book organizers
  • Carpet sweeper
  • Providing new folding chairs
  • Folding chair rack

Annual Membership - Renewed each calendar year on January 1:

• Bibliophile $15
• Publisher $20
• Philanthropist $50
